With this project we wanted to visually tell the story of an era when the Sears store was actually in business. Sears occupied the building from the late 1920′s until the early 1990′s. We wanted to pull in visual elements from the 20′s, 60′s and into today. We did this by utilizing photography from the store’s beginning days, visual ephemera from 1960′s advertising and typography that spanned the entire gamut.
