Lawrence Labianca is a New York born San Francisco artist who makes his sculptures from glass, metal, wood and ceramics. For his materials, we took a very “white” approach not only because of his name, but to elevate his work. In many cases we separated the work from its context to enhance the whitespace surrounding the object. There’s a strong presence of the artist’s hand in Lawrence’s work, and we made sure to carry this into the collateral by including sketches and notes from his studio blackboard. In addition to his identity materials we also created a custom logotype.
