Back in 2005, Peter Markatos worked with Joe Kral via Cuban Council to create the logo and identity for Facebook. Joe crafted the letterforms, and Peter took those and created the visual identity of the company. At the time, none of us had any idea what the company would become (unfortunately). But it was some solace to hear Justin Timberlake steal our line about removing the "the" from the logotype in the movie Social Network. It's great to see that they are still using the core logo and color (nearly) to this day.
