Making Medicine

Genentech, the world's largest biotech company, needed some help telling the story of how they make their medicine. They tapped MM to help design an experience for what has become a website, touch screen application at the Smithsonian Museum, and eventually a physical installation that will travel to conferences and museums in the Bay Area.

To help demystify this complex process, MM created a visually rich and friendly brand language that included a custom logotype and suite of playful illustrations. We then designed the UX and Interface for an immersive side scrolling experience that takes the user through the distinct stages of turning molecules into medicine. We continue to work with their development team on further extensions of this project.
